Tales serían er aðdáendum japanskra hlutverkaleikja að góðu kunn og hefur gefið af sér fjölmarga leiki og hliðarafurðir. Hver leikur í seríunni er sjálfstætt ævintýri en þeir deila sameiginlegum einkennum eins og rauntíma bardagakerfi.
Fyrsti leikurinn var Tales of Phantasia sem kom út árið 1995 fyrir Super Famicom leikjavélina. Í tilefni af 30 ára afmæli seríunnar á þessu ári kynnti útgefandinn Bandai Namco áform um endurgerð og útgáfu nokkurra titla úr safninu og byrjaði með Tales of Graces f Remastered sem kom út í janúar.
Næsta innlegg sem verður endurútgefið heitir Tales of Xillia en leikurinn kom upphaflega út fyrir PlayStation 3 árið 2011. Leikurinn gerist í ævintýraveröld þar sem menn og andar deila tilverunni í sátt og samlyndi. Friðnum er ógnað þegar konungsríki eitt byrjar að nota dularfulla tækni sem stelur lífsþrótti heimsins. Það kemur í þinn hlut að stöðva þessi illu áform og bjarga veröldinni frá glötun.

Tales of Xillia Remastered kemur út fyrir PlayStation 5 þann 31. október. Leikurinn verður einnig fáanlegur fyrir Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch og PC vélar.
