Japanski leikjarisinn Konami er að senda frá sér endurgerðir fyrstu tveggja titlanna í þessari vinsælu JRPG seríu.
Suikoden leikirnir eru hugarfóstur Yoshitaka Murayama og voru 5 leikir gefnir út á árunum 1995 til 2006 fyrir PlayStation og PlayStation 2 leikjatölvur. Serían gat einnig af sér nokkra hliðarleiki fyrir Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS og PlayStation Portable (PSP).
Leikirnir eru byggðir á fornri kínverskri skáldsögu sem ber heitið Water Margin. Þeir fjalla um stjórnmál, spillingu, byltingu og yfirnáttúrulega kristalla sem kallast „True Runes“. Söguhetjurnar eru „108 Stars of Destiny“ sem vísar í fjölda þeirra.
Í þessari útgáfu fáum við tvo leiki saman í pakka, Suikoden I og Suikoden II og hafa þeir verið endurhannaðir fyrir nýrri leikjavélar.

Suikoden I – Gate Rune War
The story begins when a hero turns.
Once a renowned hero, now a violent tyrant. The Empire’s future turns bleaker by the day, and at last, a Liberation Army rises up against the oppressive rule.
One by one, the 108 Stars of Heaven and Earth gather to shape the course of their history. People harbor their own beliefs under two flags, that of the Liberation Army or the Empire.
Ideals, honor, friendship, loyalty, love, ambition… Various thoughts drive the souls to the battlefield. Once all the fighting concludes, what will be left within their hands…?
Suikoden II – Dunan Unification War
I thought if I was that strong, I could protect everyone. 108 tales, prayers, wishes and tragedy that interlocks… and no one left to tell the tale.
Our story’s hero and Jowy were a part of the Highland Kingdom’s Unicorn Youth Brigade, partaking in a taxing battle against the City-States. The City-States of Jowston, made up of the 5 cities of Muse, South Window, Tinto, Greenhill, and Two River, as well as the Matilda Knights, and the Highland Kingdom were involved in a never-ending battle over gaining control of land.
A few months earlier to the story, Agares Blight, king of Highland, and Anabelle, mayor of Muse, signed a truce agreement, both sides happy to see an end to the fighting. However, fires of a new war continued to smolder in the shadows…
A cast of over 140 characters, comprised of the 108 Stars of Destiny, members of the City-States of Jowston, and the Highland enemies, come together to weave a dynamic and magnificent story.
